DB2 data access solution for .NET applications
DotConnect for DB2 dotConnect for DB2 is an advanced data access solution, enabling developers to connect to DB2 databases from .NET applications. It supports Object-relational mapping (ORM) and is based on ADO.NET, while also providing extended functionality of DB2 .NET Data Provider.
In addition to offering extended functionality for development of .NET projects, there is included also support for open source Entity Framework, while for importing and exporting of data to/from DB2 databases, a support for Integration Services is added as well. Additionally, Analysis and Reporting services are also supported.
DB2 native features (types, functions etc.) are supported and among the many components that come with dotConnect for DB2, some of them include DataTable, DataSet and DB2Script, and there is also a visual designer for ORM models included in the package.
In addition to included DB2DataSource component for data access, it comes also with support for ASP.NET provider model, which supports various providers, such as Role, Membership, Session State and Web Event, amongst others.
dotConnect for DB2 can be integrated into Delphi Prism and into many versions of Visual Studio. And, for identifying and debugging component specific database events, you can make use of external and freely available database monitoring application, called dbMonitor.
